Our Story

During her first visit to Ghana, our co-founder Jamie was captivated
by the vibrant culture and entrepreneurial spirit of the local people.
Inspired by the warmth and hospitality she experienced, Jamie
envisioned a way to share this enchanting world with others while
creating opportunities for social and economic growth in Ghana.

As Jamie recalls, "My visit to Ghana was so amazing that I decided to
start a business there! My teammates and all of the people of Ghana
truly made me feel at home. And being in an environment where
black people are treated with dignity was life changing for me!"

This transformative experience led Jamie to partner with talented
locals, combining their expertise and passion to launch "The Essence
of Ghana." Our mission is twofold: to provide travelers with an
authentic and unforgettable Ghanaian experience, and to offer our
dedicated Ghanaian team members stable, rewarding careers that
fully utilize their skills and potential.

My time in Ghana was amazing with the assistance of Yahaya as our guide. This man made sure we
were safe and secure while shopping or at our sight seeing tours. He was very much informed about

bought me to tears. Mentally help with my thoughts, emotionally rewarding, spiritually my soul my
touched, and physically the walking I lost weight in 2 weeks that I could see. He is trust worthy and kind.
Thank you my Brother Yahaya I will be back.
